Stephen Ministry is a Christ-centered caregiving ministry that equips and empowers trained lay people to provide confidential, one-on-one care to individuals experiencing life’s challenges—such as grief, illness, job loss, or other difficult seasons. Stephen Ministers walk alongside those in need, offering support, prayer, and encouragement while pointing them to the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Becoming a Stephen Minister involves serving faithfully for a period no less than two years, which includes:

Stephen Minister initial training (twenty 2.5 hour sessions, for a total of 50 hours
weekly, in-person visits with your care receiver for about an hour, as agreed up with the care receiver; and
once to twice monthly Small Group Peer Supervision and continuing education
