Missions

Dry Creek Bible Church has always recognized the importance of missionary outreach. A Missions Program began in the 1950’s, even though the congregation was small. Over the years, the program has grown, and many missionaries have been given support. Although we support different types of ministries, we have a priority to support those global ministries which train nationals to reach their own people with the gospel. We strive to give personal care to our missionaries in addition to financial aid.

Below are the current missionaries and ministries supported by Dry Creek Bible Church:

VIOLETTE BERGER

serves with CHRISTIAN JEW FOUNDATION
in ARIZONA

Violette is of Greek descent and her late husband, Barry, was a Messianic Jew. They worked as a team for 38 years in various places. They were called into Jewish ministry in 1978. Their ministry was two-fold—to reach out first to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel” and then to the Greek with the Gospel message, and also to enlighten Gentile believers to the Jewish roots of Christianity. They moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in 1993 and started a Bible study in their home, calling it Tikvah BaMidbar (Hope in the Desert). After Barry passed away in 2015, Violette continued on with their ministry. The biggest evangelistic outreach is the annual citywide Messianic Passover Seder, which Violette organizes; around 300 people attend. She is also on the editorial staff of CJF Ministries as a staff writer.

Seth and Brittany Bevans

with Global Student Outreach serving International Students
in Billings

Seth was raised in Wyoming; Brittany (daughter of Brett and Michelle Hamilton) was born in Montana, attended DCBC, and moved with her missionary parents and family to Poland when Brittany was a young girl. Seth and Brittany met at Montana Bible College where Seth did an internship with International Students Incorporated at Montana State University and then served on their staff. From 2017-2020 they served full-time in international student ministry in the Maritime Provinces through ISI’s sister organization in Canada (ISMC).

After a furlough in 2020, they were not able to return to Canada due to the pandemic and visa problems. The Lord led them to begin a ministry to international students in Billings called Global Student Outreach. They have seen the Lord work in amazing ways as they seek to form relationships with key people on the two campuses in Billings. They have been able to engage with students in various ways as they come to the U.S. to study.

Their children are Moriah, Asher, Korban. Building a ministry together while raising three young children is a great adventure. But it can be challenging and difficult to balance sometimes.

Joe and Karyn Cavon

serve with CHRISTAR,
working among Turkish people

The Cavons began working in Turkey in 2003. During their time there, they started two church plants among the Turkish people. In 2017 they launched an outreach targeting mainly women in domestic abuse situations. They offered Bible-based English lessons, art, handcrafts, and other activities. They utilized outreach through social media. They planted a small, but growing church group, with a focus on discipleship and leadership training.

In 2023, the Cavons had to leave Turkey. They relocated to England for a couple years where they partnered with British ministries in order to assist them in how to reach out to the large population of Turkish immigrants in that area. They began outreach ministries in the primarily Turkish neighborhoods of northern London such as teaching English through the Bible, door to door outreaches, park outreaches, book tables, Turkish seekers, Bible studies, and medical outreach days.  They were been able to minister to hundreds of Turks in the area.

Now the Lord has called Joe and Karyn to Richardson, Texas where they will again work among Turks and others. There is a massive influx of Muslims in the Dallas area which is radically reshaping the atmosphere in the region.

The Cavons have three adult children.

BRETT and MICHELLE HAMILTON

recently returned to the U.S.
after pastoring the International Church of Wroclaw in Poland

The Hamiltons are Montanans. They graduated from MSU, and attended DCBC before going to Poland in 1993. They helped to establish New Hope Fellowship in Wroclaw. Then Brett guided the International Church of Woclaw to become an independent church in Poland. This church reaches out to international students and business professionals. Hamiltons say, “It is our heart to see the Lord raise up a church-based discipleship ministry that...wins, trains, and sends out committed Christ-like followers throughout the world.”

DCBC has supported Hamiltons for over 30 years and since 2020, has been their sending organization. Brett and Michelle are now in the process of settling in Billings, Montana, where they are waiting on the Lord for their next season of ministry.

The Hamiltons have four married children and are grandparents.

WARREN HIEBERT

is semi-retired, but continues to serve in
Law Enforcement Chaplaincy

Warren anticipated retiring several years ago, but the Lord had different plans for him and his wife Donna. He is still a chaplain with the Gallatin Valley Sheriff's Office, and he serves on several law enforcement-related boards. He is Chairman of the Montana Law Enforcement Chaplains in the state of Montana, which is a subcommittee of the Montana Sheriff’s and Peace Officer’s Association (MSPOA). He meets with sheriffs and chaplains and helps to start chaplain programs and to encourage other chaplains.  He has started a Chaplain’s Academy. Warren and Donna are Chaplain Planters. When Warren and Donna travel South for the winter, they continue the chaplain ministry in those areas.

Randy and Sherry Jones

Law Enforcement chaplain

Randy and his wife Sherry served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Cameroon, and then as pastor of Manhattan Bible Church until he took over Warren Hiebert’s work as the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain in 2017.

Randy is concerned for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the law enforcement community and ministers to members of the public when they are in crisis, especially following an unexpected loss of a loved one. He also speaks in churches, schools, and at public ceremonies.

Sherry is a Gallatin County Detention Center chaplain. She leads Bible studies for women detainees as part of Bozeman Prison Ministries. She also leads the Celebrate Recovery Program for women struggling with addictions. Further, she meets individually with women in jail when requested and disciples former inmates. Finally, Sherry occasionally speaks to women’s or children’s groups in churches. Randy and Sherry have five children and seven grandchildren.

Brett and Roberta Lashelle

serve with International Students Inc.
on the MSU campus

Brett and Roberta have lived and worked in Bozeman since 1988. After working for 30 years on the Pastoral staff of a local church, Brett felt called to make in a lateral move to work alongside International Students on the campus of Montana State University. Having been involved in missions and hosting students in their home for most of their married and professional life, it became more obvious that there was no better way to reach the world for Christ than to reach those God was bringing to our local campuses. These same students often return to their home countries with their US degrees to become leaders in their own culture and languages.

In 2021 Roberta also felt the same call to join Brett on the campus. Since then, Brett and Roberta have been befriending international students together with a host of amazing volunteers and donor partners.

They have four adult girls, two sons-in-law and 10 grandchildren!

Vladimir Lebedev

serves with TRAINING LEADERS INTERNATIONAL (TLI)

Vladimir lived in Russia from birth to age 44. He lived and served in Ukraine from 1995 to 2000, and in the US since 2015. He has served as youth minister, preacher, trainer, pastor, and conference speaker. In 2023 he transitioned from working with Word Partners to TLI, which trains pastors in more than 30 countries around the world to teach God’s Word with God’s heart. Vladimir is personally involved in eight of these countries. In addition to training church leaders in Russia, Africa and other places around the world, Vladimir is helping Russian-speaking churches in Illinois, Nebraska and Georgia.

Vladimir’s wife, Tatiana, is also Russian. They live in Chicago and have three adult children and a grandchild.

Ron and Jean Paull

serve with InterAct Ministries
in ALASKA

Ron and Jean had years of experience working with Native Americans in the lower 48, which was helpful when the Lord called them to minister among the Alaska Natives on Kodiak Island for 12 years. They were serving with Arctic Barnabas Mission (ABM) where, in addition to pastoring and counseling, they helped other missionaries and local pastors in remote areas in practical ways. Jean ministers through her love and skill for quilting.  Ron is a gunsmith who enjoys helping friends with their guns.

In 2020 Ron and Jean transitioned from ABM to InterAct Ministries of Alaska. They moved to the village of Kluti-Kaah near Copper Center, 200+ miles from Anchorage. The primary goal of their work is to train up Native men to lead their own church and to pass that on to younger generations.

CILEM and HARLEY SUPRINT

serving in Haiti

Cilem is a Haitian national who attended Montana Bible College. DCBC became aquainted with him when he did an internship at our church. In 2018 Cilem married Harley who is a nurse.

The Suprints moved to Haiti in January 2021, and minister in the Cap Haitien area where Cilem was raised. Their vision is to create a Christian community that reaches out to unchurched people. They have purchased land, and are building a church, and plan to establish a Bible school. One of their projects is to do small business loans with educational and discipleship components. The church they have planted, Grace Community Church, is growing, and is currently meeting under a gazebo until the church building is completed.

The Suprints have three little boys, Rocky, Archer, and Cliff.

Reciprocal Ministries International

Lacolline, haiti
